Designed by naval architect Sam Manuard, the Code 3 is a 25-metre carbon maxi yacht developed for fast offshore cruising and racing. Its powerful hull, inverted bow, low-profile doghouse and extensive flush deck give the yacht a distinctive silhouette inspired by contemporary ocean-racing design.
The Code 3 combines this modern naval architecture with characteristic Black Pepper Yachts details, including a teak deck, carefully controlled proportions and a strong neo-classic identity. Built in carbon fibre, the yacht is designed to combine light displacement, structural rigidity and responsive sailing performance.
On board, the layout has been developed for both long-distance sailing and comfortable life at sea. The yacht includes generous living spaces, multiple cabins and bathrooms, a tender garage and a cockpit saloon, while the deck layout and sailing systems are designed to facilitate manoeuvres with a reduced crew.
From the Code 0 to the Code 3, Black Pepper Yachts has maintained a strong and recognisable design language. Although separated by a decade and very different in scale and programme, both yachts share the same emphasis on clean proportions, low freeboard and distinctive neo-classic details.
On the Code 3, taut hull lines, a low sheer and the contrast between carbon grey and blond teak create a strong visual identity. The square doghouse, one of the recurring signatures of Black Pepper Yachts, draws inspiration from classic yachts of the American East Coast while being integrated into a thoroughly contemporary design.

At sea, the Code 3 reveals the performance expected from a carbon maxi yacht designed for fast offshore sailing. Its deck layout has been developed to simplify manoeuvres and allow the yacht to be handled efficiently by a reduced crew.
Halyards, sheets and control lines are led aft beneath the teak deck to dedicated working areas at the rear of the cockpit. Electric winches assist with the main sail-handling operations, including halyards, sheets and headsail furling systems.
The cockpit is organised into two clearly defined zones: a working area for manoeuvres and a separate deck saloon for guests. This separation allows sailing operations to remain efficient while preserving comfort and circulation on board.
Below deck, the Code 3 features a spacious loft-style interior with a minimalist neo-industrial character. The main saloon is arranged around an open galley with a central island, while four double cabins, each with its own bathroom, provide generous accommodation. Two crew cabins, a sail locker, a tender garage and a dedicated technical area complete the layout.

The Code # is built from dry carbon fibre and epoxy resin. Each part is made using the infusion process, which keeps the weight down by optimally controlling the quantities of resin used. This process consists of placing parts draped in dry carbon fabric under vacuum in a mould closed by a tarpaulin, which are then impregnated under vacuum by injection of the required quantity of resin, which is drawn in by the vacuum created in the mould.
The hull and deck are built in separate moulds and then assembled manually by gluing and laminating. The entire boat structure is first assembled by gluing and laminating in the hull.
The whole structure is then coated and painted before the integration of systems (rudders, keel, power, engine, etc.), electronic and electrical components, fittings, teak, fittings, preparation of the mast and boom.
