Designed by Marc Lombard, the Code 2 is a carbon racer-cruiser developed to combine fast offshore sailing, racing performance and cruising capability.
Its powerful hull, controlled displacement and carbon rig are designed for an ambitious sailing programme, from offshore passages to regattas and fast cruising.
Like the other yachts in the range, the Code 2 retains the distinctive lines of Black Pepper Yachts while relying on thoroughly contemporary naval architecture.
The Code 2 marked a new stage in the development of the Black Pepper Yachts range.
Following the Code 0 and Code 1, Marc Lombard developed a yacht of almost 20 metres for fast offshore sailing, combining offshore performance with genuine cruising capability.
Its hull, carbon construction and controlled displacement reflect an ambitious sailing programme, while the interior has been designed to provide the comfort required for long-distance cruising.
Like the other yachts in the range, the Code 2 follows a semi-custom approach. Layout, equipment, materials and finishes can be adapted to the owner’s sailing programme and preferences.
The Code 2 can be configured with a stronger focus on either performance or fast cruising.

Rig configuration and deck equipment can also be adapted to the owner’s programme, from a highly performance-oriented setup to a version focused more strongly on long-distance cruising.
Its wide hull, ballast ratio and carbon rig allow the Code 2 to accelerate quickly while remaining balanced across a wide range of conditions.
The deck layout and sail-handling systems have been designed for efficient short-handed sailing. Twin rudders provide control and precision as speed increases or conditions become more demanding.
The Code 2 is first and foremost a yacht designed to sail: fast, seaworthy and capable of covering long distances while providing the comfort required for offshore cruising.

The Code 2 is built in carbon fibre and epoxy resin using vacuum infusion. Careful control of the resin content makes it possible to achieve a light and rigid structure while maintaining strict weight targets.
Hull and deck are produced separately before being bonded and laminated together. Structural components are integrated into the hull before the installation of systems, deck hardware, electronics and interior fittings.
